Visiting 15 Galleries in 1 Day. NYC edition

My love for new art never wavers. Once I set foot inside a gallery, I’m known to get immersed in all the creative energy. To satiate my desire for art, I took a trip to New York City where Alena Maraj, art director and advisor, took me to over 10 galleries in the upper east side area.

The first place we visited was the West Chelsea Contemporary, which is a world-class museum in NYC. The place is stretched on a land of 7800 square feet and envelops many art pieces from the past and present. They have many 3D art pieces that made me leave in awe as I took pictures of some of them.

As a science freak, I was persistent in visiting Nicola Vassel gallery as I have heard that they have many art pieces that show the evolution of science and technology. I admired this place a lot, and upon seeing it, I was fazed by the beauty of how the gallery cherished old technology with such care.

We then made a stop at the Jack Shainman gallery that portrayed the works of Africa, North America, and East Asia contemporary artist.

We ended the night with a studio visit with the multi talented Melissa Sutherland Moss. An artist known for her vibrant collage work and transfers. We explored the art space together, and she enlightened me with her plans for an NFT collection and upcoming installations.

This visit ended the day perfectly, Surrounded by fellow female artist in a space for creating. Though I had to truck it through 16 degree weather, it was very much worth it! I have an upcoming show in Harlem at the Heath Gallery. Hope to see you all there.
